The Turkish Education Union's survey: '68% of teachers say they would leave the profession for better conditions.'

According to the survey results published by the Turkish Education Union on the occasion of November 24th, Teachers' Day, 68.3% of teachers stated that they could leave teaching for a job with better conditions.

The Turkish Education Union Headquarters conducted a survey with 4,345 teachers in 81 provinces online between October 31 and November 10, 2024, on the occasion of "November 24 Teachers' Day." The survey titled "The Real Agenda of Education Workers: Satisfaction, Expectations, and Evaluation of Education on November 24 Teachers' Day - 2024" was implemented through the Turkish Education Union's website and six separate teacher and civil servant sites.

68% MAY QUIT TEACHING FOR BETTER CONDITIONS

The survey revealed the issues teachers face regarding education, their financial struggles, and criticisms of the curriculum and interviews. According to the survey results, 68.3% of participants stated that they would quit teaching if there were a better job available.

The survey report included the statement, "68.3% of participants indicated that they would quit teaching if there were a better job available, while 31.7% stated that they would not quit teaching even if there were a better job available."
