The unemployment rate has decreased in Turkey.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the labor force statistics for July. According to this, the number of unemployed people in Turkey aged 15 and over decreased by 112 thousand people compared to the previous month, reaching 3 million 167 thousand people.

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE DECREASED COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MONTH

The unemployment rate decreased by 0.4 points compared to the previous month, reaching 8.8 percent. The unemployment rate also decreased by 0.5 points compared to the same month of the previous year. The unemployment rate is estimated to be 7 percent for men and 12.4 percent for women.

RATE DECREASED BY 1 POINT AMONG YOUTH

In the mentioned month, the unemployment rate among the youth population aged 15-24 decreased by 1 point compared to the previous month, reaching 16.6 percent. It was calculated that the unemployment rate in this age group is 12.2 percent for men and 25 percent for women.
