The US military announced that it has completed its latest wave of attacks targeting Iranian military objectives. In response to the heavy bombardment conducted by Washington under the pretext of ensuring maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran has struck Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait—countries hosting US bases—with missiles and drones.
The war in the Middle East is escalating. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that a large-scale operation targeting critical military facilities in Iran has concluded in the evening hours. Immediately following the operation, Iran began retaliatory strikes against allied countries in the region.
PRECISION-GUIDED STRIKE FROM THE US ON IRAN
In the official statement from CENTCOM, it was emphasized that the primary goal of the conducted strikes was to weaken Iran's capacity to target commercial vessels and civilian sailors passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The statement, which said, "The US military, following the Commander-in-Chief's orders, continues to hold Iran accountable," shared the details of the operation as follows:
"Iranian military command centers, air defense positions, missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) production capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities were targeted."
CENTCOM announced that targets at multiple strategically important points, including Bandar Abbas, were hit with precision-guided munitions with complete accuracy within the scope of the operation. It was recalled that before the evening operation, during the first wave of attacks lasting 90 minutes in the morning, Iran's coastal defense and cruise missile positions on Greater Tunb Island were destroyed.
IRAN'S RETALIATION AGAINST US BASES: JORDAN, BAHRAIN, AND KUWAIT STRUCK
Following the heavy blows to the US military infrastructure, the response from the Iranian front was not delayed. The Tehran administration targeted the Gulf countries hosting US military bases: Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that the country has come under new attacks and that attack sirens are sounding in many areas. An urgent call was made to the public to remain calm and take shelter in safe areas without delay.
The Kuwaiti army announced that air defense systems have been activated against kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) entering their airspace. In a statement from the army, it said, "The sounds of explosions to be heard are the result of efforts to intercept hostile elements," and citizens were asked to strictly follow the security instructions issued by official authorities.
Meanwhile, in the UAV attacks on US military facilities in Jordan, it was reported that US military communication systems and fuel storage facilities were targeted.
