In the investigation into the death of 33 cats found dead in İzmir Buca, veterinarian H.E., who was detained, has been released under judicial supervision.
In the Buca district of Izmir, veterinarian H.E., who was referred to court with a request for arrest as part of the investigation into the discovery of 33 dead cats, was released under judicial control by the duty Criminal Court of Peace.
In the investigation launched after numerous cats were found dead on Adnan Kahveci Street in the Buca district, teams arriving at the scene upon a tip-off determined that 33 dead cats, including some kittens, were left in front of garbage containers on the street.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
An investigation was initiated by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Environmental, Zoning, Forest, and Crimes Against Animals Investigation Bureau regarding the incident under the scope of "opposition to Law No. 5199 on the Protection of Animals."
As part of the investigation, veterinarian H.E., considered to be linked to the incident, was detained. The suspect veterinarian H.E., referred to the judiciary today, was sent to the duty Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest on charges of "intentionally killing a domestic or pet animal" and "intentionally polluting the environment." Veterinarian H.E. was released by the court under judicial control.
