Families in Diyarbakır, who claim that their children have been abducted by the terrorist organization PKK, have been holding a sit-in protest in front of the former HDP Provincial Headquarters for six years. One of the families waiting to be reunited with their child said, "We will not leave our children to the HDP or the PKK. We will not leave this door of murderers. I will stand tall against this enemy, and I will not bow my head."

The sit-in protest initiated by families claiming their children were kidnapped by the terrorist organization PKK and wanting to reunite with them has been ongoing in front of the former HDP Provincial Presidency building since September 3, 2019. So far, 56 of the 379 families who participated in the sit-in protest with the hope of reuniting with their children have met with their children.

If my daughter Şeyma hears or sees me, I am waiting for you here with longing and desire. I wanted to dress you in a wedding gown. I do not want to dress you in a shroud. We are eagerly waiting for our children. We will not leave our children to HDP or PKK. We will not leave this killer's door either. I come to Diyarbakır from Van occasionally.
