According to the forecasts of the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), the weather will first warm up in the new week, followed by a wave of rainy weather. While no precipitation is expected across the country today and on Monday, fog and mist will be observed in the Marmara region and in the inner and eastern parts during the morning and night hours.
HEAT WAVE UNTIL MIDWEEK
According to MGM data, air temperatures will be above seasonal norms across the country. Especially in the inner and western regions, daytime temperatures will rise, and the autumn weather will give way to short-lived spring days.
In Istanbul, it is expected that a mostly sunny sky will dominate until midweek (Wednesday), with temperatures rising above 20 degrees in some areas to spring values (Pastırma Ayazı).
HEAVY RAIN IS COMING ON WEDNESDAY
Starting from Tuesday, cloud cover will increase in the western provinces, and thunderstorms with heavy rain will be effective on Wednesday. Local heavy rainfall is expected in many cities, especially in Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Kocaeli, and Bolu. Experts warned citizens to be cautious against sudden weather changes following the warm weather that will be felt before the rain.
