Pınar Erdoğan, the wife of security officer Atakan Şahin Erdoğan, who was martyred in the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in Ankara, said, "He wanted to be a martyr. I would say, 'You can't be a martyr in Ankara, Atakan, you lost your chance.' He became a martyr in Ankara. My husband is a hero."

Yesterday, in the attack carried out by 2 terrorists, one of whom was a woman, against TUSAŞ, 4 TUSAŞ personnel and a taxi driver were martyred. The relatives of the martyrs were in tears at the funeral ceremony.

Pınar Erdoğan, the wife of the martyred Atakan Şahin Erdoğan (42), who worked as a security officer at TUSAŞ, stated that they have two daughters aged 14 and 5. Pınar Erdoğan said that her husband became a martyr to save the lives of his colleagues, saying, "He wanted to be a martyr. I would say, 'You can't be a martyr in Ankara, Atakan, you lost your chance.' He became a martyr in Ankara. I don't know how to tell my daughters. My husband is a hero."

The funerals of Atakan Şahin Erdoğan, mechanical engineer Zahide Güçlü, quality control officer Cengiz Coşkun, employee Hasan Hüseyin Cambaz, and taxi driver Murat Arslan were buried after the noon prayer.
