Images of a young woman driving a luxury SUV with flashing lights in Istanbul, disregarding traffic rules, have sparked controversy. Many users who shared the footage called on Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya to take necessary action.
The footage recorded with a mobile phone in front of a famous shopping center in Etiler, Istanbul, quickly became a hot topic.
NO RESPECT FOR THE LAW
While it did not go unnoticed that a young woman traveling alone in a luxury SUV had installed a flashing light on her vehicle, she increased her speed upon realizing she was being filmed and turned back from a prohibited road to leave the area.

As the video that surfaced online sparked discussions, many users who shared the footage called on Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya to take necessary actions.
PENALTY STARTS FROM 138 THOUSAND LIRA
Recently, the unauthorized use of flashing lights has significantly increased, and starting from 2025, drivers who use flashing lights or siren systems without permission will face a fine of 138,172 TL for the first offense. In cases of two or more violations within a year, a fine of 276,345 TL will be imposed.
