(45), who was reported to have psychological issues, entered the emergency department of the Necip Fazıl City Hospital's Obstetrics and Pediatrics Annex with a shotgun. The suspect threatened healthcare workers with the shotgun and was subdued by a security guard's intervention. Police teams, who were notified, arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody. Healthcare workers experienced frightening moments during the suspect's attack attempt. The suspect's processing at the police station is ongoing. The footage shows healthcare workers hiding under tables, the suspect shouting at them, and the security guard subduing the suspect. STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICEIn a written statement from the Kahramanmaraş Governor's Office, it was reminded that a woman attempted to attack with a shotgun inside the Women's and Children's Hospital. The statement included the following: "A 1979-born Turkish citizen named B.G., who attempted an attack inside the hospital by claiming that there was a bomb device in the package she was holding, was subdued by the security forces who arrived at the scene. It was determined through observation by the teams that the paper bag mentioned by the individual was empty and visible from the outside. In the investigation and her statement, it was revealed that she was receiving psychiatric treatment and did not feel well, stating that her intention was to harm herself and that she chose the hospital because it was close to her residence. No citizens or healthcare workers were harmed in the hospital due to the incident. The individual will be taken into custody and brought to court as part of the investigation."
