The flurry of activity in recent days at the parliament gates, courthouse corridors, and in front of the party headquarters has escalated into physical and verbal clashes between supporters. In the latest footage caught on camera, a heated argument between two female party members, one supporting Özgür Özel and the other supporting Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, revealed the tension on the streets.
"NULLITY TRAITOR, F*CK OFF!"
In the argument that began in full view of the crowded group of party members, the parties hurled harsh accusations at each other. A woman understood to be a supporter of Özgür Özel loudly accused Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to his seat by court decision, of being a "traitor." These words angered the woman supporting Kılıçdaroğlu, who retorted sharply, "There are no traitors in the CHP!" Unable to control her anger at the response, the pro-Özel woman almost had a nervous breakdown and shouted, "You nullity traitor, f*ck off!" unleashing heavy insults in the middle of the street.
PARTY MEMBERS STRUGGLED TO INTERVENE
In those moments when heavy insults and profanities were flying, other CHP members nearby were bewildered. Trying to prevent the verbal fight from turning into a physical scuffle, party members made intense efforts to calm the woman who was having a nervous breakdown. With the intervention of party members stepping in, the two women were barely separated from each other and attempts were made to calm them down.
