Honda has recalled approximately 1.7 million vehicles covering the 2023-2025 model years due to issues with the steering. It was stated that the improperly manufactured steering gear box could increase the risk of accidents.

In a statement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it was noted that the decision affects the 2023-2025 model Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 model Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 model Acura Integra Type S, and the 2025 model CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The statement announced that Honda would recall approximately 1.7 million of its vehicles.

RISK OF ACCIDENT AND INJURY

The statement indicated that the steering gear box may have been improperly manufactured, which could lead to excessive internal friction and difficulty in turning the vehicle's steering. It was noted that this situation could increase the risk of accidents or injuries.
