The last and largest Supermoon of 2024 began to be observed in Turkey on Thursday, October 17, at 14:26. The Supermoon occurring on October 17, 2024, will happen at 11:26 worldwide. Since Turkey is in the UTC+3 time zone, the Supermoon can be observed at 14:26 Turkish time (TRT). The Supermoon will appear larger and brighter than normal because it will be at its closest position to Earth. Since the celestial event coincides with daytime hours, it will be possible to observe the Supermoon in Turkey after sunset. In a statement from NASA, it was noted that the Moon will appear as a full moon from Tuesday evening until Friday morning. The Moon observed this week will be the third of four consecutive Supermoons in 2024. The next Supermoon will occur in November.
