In Aksaray, an 18-year-old candidate driver who got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol ended his journey with an accident. After the out-of-control car mounted the curb and crashed into the garden wall of an apartment building, teams arriving at the scene found that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 2.02 per mil. The young driver, found to be nearly four times over the legal limit, was fined and had his license permanently revoked.
In Aksaray, an 18-year-old candidate driver, found to be about 4 times over the legal alcohol limit, caused an accident shortly after taking the wheel. The car went out of control, mounted the sidewalk, and crashed into the garden wall of an apartment building. No injuries occurred in the accident, while the young driver was fined and his license was permanently revoked.
MOUNTED THE SIDEWALK AND CRASHED INTO APARTMENT WALL
The accident occurred on Şehit Mehmet Ali Demir Street in the Büyük Bölcek neighborhood. According to obtained information, Batuhan A. (18) took to the traffic with his car with license plate 68 DN 307 after consuming alcohol.
After a short while, the vehicle driven by the young driver, who lost control of the steering, mounted the sidewalk and then crashed into an apartment's garden wall before stopping.
POLICE TEAMS CONDUCTED ALCOHOL TEST
Following the accident, police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification by nearby citizens. During checks, it was determined that the driver had not sustained any injuries.
In the alcohol test conducted by police teams, Batuhan A. was found to have 2.02 promil alcohol.
25 THOUSAND LIRA FINE, PERMANENT LICENSE REVOCATION
Since the alcohol level was approximately 4 times over the legal limit, an administrative fine of 25 thousand lira was imposed on the candidate driver. Additionally, due to his status as a candidate driver, his license was permanently revoked.
It was learned that the vehicle, which was banned from traffic, was removed to a parking lot with the help of a tow truck, while judicial proceedings were initiated against the driver and he was taken to the police station to give his statement.
