A couple who were in a relationship and not approved by their families committed suicide with a gun in a vehicle in Elazığ. It was learned that Halil Çetin, who took his own life, had told one of his relatives the day before that he would commit suicide.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near Lake Hazar on the Elazığ-Diyarbakır highway. Those who saw a woman and two people lying motionless in the parked van reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

LIFELESS BODIES TAKEN TO THE MORGUE

Upon the notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that Halil Çetin, who was shot in the head, and construction engineer Rukiye Yıldırım lost their lives under the control of the teams. The bodies of Çetin and Yıldırım were taken to the morgue for autopsy.

It was claimed that Halil Çetin, who was married and had 3 children, and Rukiye Yıldırım decided to commit suicide because their love was not accepted by their families. It was determined that Yıldırım's family had reported her missing a day before the incident.

It was determined that Halil Çetin shot Yıldırım in the head with the gun he brought with him and then committed suicide. It was revealed that Halil Çetin had informed one of his relatives the day before that he would commit suicide, and when he could not be reached, it was determined from the notifications made by the gendarmerie teams and the PTS records of his vehicle that they were near the lake.
