Two suspects who attempted to dismantle and sell the IETT bus they stole from the bus garage in Kağıthane were caught by the police along with a person accused of receiving the dismantled parts in Tuzla. The bus was saved from being completely dismantled at the last moment and was returned to its owner along with the removed parts. The two suspects were arrested and sent to prison. The moments when the bus was stolen and the parts were dismantled were captured on camera. N.A. reported to the police for help, stating that he could not find the IETT bus he parked at the Kağıthane bus garage around 22:40 on Sunday, November 17. The Auto Theft Bureau initiated an investigation regarding the incident. An examination of the vehicle's tracking system revealed that the bus was located on Democracy Street in Tuzla Orhanlı Neighborhood. THE BUS WAS FOUND IN TUZLA WHILE BEING DISMANTLEDPolice teams raided a business selling used car parts where the bus was parked. During the raid, Murat H. (46) and Salih H. were detained, along with Z.A.Ö. (47), who was found to have purchased the dismantled bus parts at a low price as second-hand. An examination of the bus revealed that the interior seats and electronic components had been partially dismantled, and it was determined that the dismantling process was still ongoing during the operation. 3 SUSPECTS DETAINEDIt was determined that Z.A.Ö., one of the suspects interrogated at the public order branch, had 14 previous criminal records. While suspects Murat H. and Salih H. were arrested and sent to prison, Z.A.Ö. was released after being questioned regarding the charges of 'purchasing stolen goods' and 'damaging property' upon the prosecutor's instruction. The IETT bus, which was saved from being completely dismantled at the last moment, was returned to the victim N.A. along with the dismantled parts.
