The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that equine meat was detected in the "beef butcher sausage" product of Örke Kasap (Mert Et) – Ahmet Örke, which operates in Gaziemir, İzmir.
While products that pose a risk to health and practices that compromise the true nature of food remain on the agenda, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to share inspection results with the public through its official website. Recently, a company producing sucuk in İzmir was exposed.
DETECTION OF "SINGLE-HOOVED MEAT" IN SUCUK
In the list published by the Ministry, it was noted that single-hooved meat was detected in the "beef butcher sucuk" product produced by Örke Kasap (Mert Et) – a business registered under the name of Ahmet Örke, operating in the Gaziemir district of İzmir.

The announcement stated that the product's expiration date is 13.06.2025, and it was mentioned that the product group falls under the category of meat and meat products. The Ministry emphasized that the inspection results will continue to be shared to inform consumers.
