Five individuals identified as illegally hunting in Kastamonu were detained in an operation. During the search of their homes, sausages made from deer meat were seized. The Kastamonu Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Environmental, Nature, and Animal Protection Team (HAYDİ) and the Nature Conservation and National Parks Kastamonu Branch (DKMP) conducted an operation at the homes of N.G. and S.K., who were illegally hunting in the Kütüklü Tarla area of Subaşı Village in the central district. During searches at three different addresses, a deer skull, teeth, hide, and antlers, 36,100 grams of deer meat, 14,400 grams of sausages made from deer meat, 5,930 grams of rabbit meat, 2 hunting rifles, and 32 hunting rifle cartridges were seized. DKMP and gendarmerie teams confiscated the seized materials. A total administrative fine of 443,426 TL was imposed on the individuals named N.G., S.K., M.M., N.Ç., and M.D. for hunting protected wildlife. Additionally, legal proceedings were initiated against N.G., S.K., M.M., N.Ç., and M.D. by the teams.
