During the price control inspections in Erdemli district of Mersin, 380 tons of lemons that were not reported to the Fruit and Vegetable Tracking System were detected. In the inspections, carried out by the Market Surveillance and Inspection Branch, records were taken against three individuals who were the owners of the product.

In the inspections initiated by the Trade Provincial Directorate in Mersin due to the increase in prices, 380 tons of lemons that were not reported to the Hal Registration System (HRS) were detected in two warehouses.

INSPECTIONS INTENSIFIED

The inspections carried out by the Trade Provincial Directorate teams continue due to the recent increase in lemon prices. As part of the study, inspections were carried out in cold storage facilities in the city center and districts. In the examination conducted in two warehouses in Erdemli district, it was determined that 380 tons of lemons were not registered in the HRS.

REPORTS ISSUED FOR 3 PEOPLE

Reports were issued for 3 individuals who own the product in the inspections carried out by the Market Surveillance and Inspection Branch Directorate. The inspections regarding the increase in lemon prices are ongoing.

CHAMPION OF JUNE

Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) announced the products with the highest increase and decrease in retail prices in Istanbul in June, along with their exchange rates, in order to ensure market transparency and inform the public. Lemon, which increased by 56.64 percent in price in June, ranked first on the list.
