Samsunspor suffered its 7th consecutive defeat in the Süper Lig, breaking the club's record for its longest losing streak. The red-and-whites want to end this streak against RAMS Başakşehir.

Recently representing Turkey in Europe, Samsunspor cannot say ‘stop’ to its poor run this season.

SAMSUNSPOR SUFFERS 7 CONSECUTIVE LOSSES

After collecting 4 points in the first 2 weeks of the Super Lig, the Samsun side has been longing for points. As the 9th week of the league concludes, the red-and-whites, who suffered their 7th consecutive defeat, could not be saved by new head coach Nenad Bjelica either. The Samsun side also left the field with its head bowed in its last 2 matches under Bjelica. Starting the season with a draw against Göztepe and a win against Çaykur Rizespor, Samsunspor then lost 2-0 to Fenerbahçe, 1-0 to Kocaelispor, 5-1 to Çorum FK, 1-0 to Erzurumspor, 3-0 to Trabzonspor, 4-1 to Kasımpaşa, and finally 2-1 to Amed Sportif Faaliyetler.

A BAD RECORD HAS BEEN BROKEN

Following the defeat to Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, the red-and-white team surpassed its longest consecutive losing streaks, which it had equaled in 1998, 2006, 2023, and 2026, and set a record with 7 defeats.

NEXT OPPONENT: RAMS BAŞAKŞEHİR

The Black Sea side will face RAMS Başakşehir in Istanbul today and will aim to end this poor streak.
