In the Korkuteli district of Antalya, teams mobilized for an elderly Alzheimer's patient who went missing after leaving his home. As a result of a search using a drone, a tracking dog, and UAV, the elderly man was found 8 kilometers away from his home.
In the incident that occurred in the Çomaklı neighborhood of Korkuteli district, relatives of 73-year-old Alzheimer's patient Bekir K., who left his home yesterday evening and could not be reached, called the 112 Emergency Call Center and requested assistance. Following the report from the elderly man's relatives, Jandarma Search and Rescue (JAK), JASAT, Gendarmerie Public Order, AFAD, and AKUT teams were dispatched to the area to search for Bekir K.
HEALTH CONDITION IS GOOD
The teams arriving at the area began an extensive search operation using a drone, a tracking dog, and a UAV to find the missing elderly man. After hours of searching, the teams managed to reach 73-year-old Alzheimer's patient Bekir K. in a forested area approximately 8 kilometers from his home. During checks by medical teams, it was determined that the elderly man was dehydrated but his health condition was good.
