Shoji Morimoto, who lives in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, earns money by doing an unusual job. Morimoto, who allows people to rent him for a certain period of time, goes wherever his clients want and simply accompanies them.
In a 2022 interview with Reuters, Morimoto, describing his work, said that at the time he received 10,000 Japanese yen for each reservation.
Morimoto described his work with the words: "I basically rent myself out. My job is to be where my clients want me to be and to do nothing in particular."
