THE FIRST OPERATION AGAINST THE GANG WAS IN MARCH

The Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Unit launched an operation against the gang led by the suspect named Z.A., who committed crimes such as intentional murder, attempted murder, intentional injury, aggravated robbery, deprivation of liberty, and threats in Bağcılar. Following the operation, it was determined that the gang members threatened 12 businesses in Bağcılar and carried out armed attacks on 4 of them, based on instructions received from the organization's leader E.A., who is abroad. During an attack on a café, a police officer was shot in the head and injured.

15 GANG MEMBERS ARRESTED IN THE SECOND OPERATION

The Organized Crime Unit police officers initiated a second operation against the gang. 15 gang members, including the person who injured the police officer, were arrested during the operation.

Kandeğer and Altunkaya were detained, and the moments were captured on a mobile phone camera. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation into the incident.
