A STOPOVER FOR MIGRATORY BIRDS
Known among the public as a "Bird Paradise," Cil Lake, whose basin hosts dozens of different bird species, truly comes alive especially during migration seasons.
The lake basin, one of the most important stopover and breeding areas for migratory birds, has become an indispensable route for birdwatchers and nature photographers with its deep blue waters, lush reeds, and rich surrounding vegetation.
UNDER PROTECTION
This unique biodiversity of the region is also protected by the state. Cil Lake was officially declared a "natural protected area" by a Presidential Decree issued in 2019. The lake provides a critical natural habitat not only for birds but also for the wide biodiversity within its basin.
