Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado in Venezuela threatened Nicolas Maduro, who took an oath as president on January 10, stating, "His days in power are numbered."
"THEY ARE PARANOID AND NOT SLEEPING" In a statement made on the X social media platform, Machado targeted the Maduro government. She said, "Those in the regime know they are few and isolated, and they know their days in power are numbered. That’s why they are paranoid and not sleeping. They know their end is near and are afraid of being betrayed by anyone around them."
Maria Corina Machado "WE ARE HOLDING THE STRINGS" Machado claimed that the Maduro administration would never be able to show records proving they "won the elections on July 28, 2024, by a landslide." She stated, "We know this is the hardest moment, we know the risks, and that’s why we are in the ring, we are fighting, we are hitting, throwing punches with the determination that if we don’t win in the first round, we will win in the third or fourth round, but we will win because we are already holding the strings."
Machado stated that they have defeated the Maduro administration and urged everyone to remain resolute in the struggle.
