Tibetans refugees staged fresh protests against Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to India outside the Taj Palace in New Delhi on Friday. The protesters were demanding that the Indian Government co-operates with and acts on the autonomy of Tibet. The protesters shouted anti-China slogans. The police tried to pacify them but they did not relent and eventually clashed with the police as they were stopped from approaching near the hotel. Some of the protesters were also detained by the police.
This is the fourth time over three days that Tibetans have protested in New Delhi against Xi's visit. On Thursday, Tibetans staged a protest in south Delhi's Dhaula Kuan area. Xi, is on a three-day visit to India, and hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
