In Adana, heavy rain that intensified around noon caused flooding in the Seyhan and Yüreğir districts. As streets and alleys turned into lakes, drivers and pedestrians had a hard time. A driver and his 2 children, who were stranded in a flooded parking lot passage in Seyhan, were rescued by fire crews. Describing the fear he experienced, the driver said, "I was with the children, they were very scared."
Flooding occurred on some roads in Adana due to heavy rain, and drivers and pedestrians had difficult moments.
STREETS AND AVENUES TURNED INTO LAKES
The rain, which intensified around noon in the city, negatively affected daily life.
Due to the downpour, flooding occurred on some streets and avenues in the central Seyhan and Yüreğir districts.
Drivers and pedestrians had difficulty moving forward because of water accumulated on the roads.
CAR REMAINED IN THE WATER
A car that tried to enter a previously closed section of a parking lot remained in the water.
Fire brigade teams directed to the area upon a report moved driver İsmail Yalçın and his 2 children to a safe area. The vehicle was removed from the passage with the help of construction equipment.
"THE CHILDREN WERE VERY FRIGHTENED"
Yalçın told journalists that he did not know the parking lot was closed because there was no warning sign at its entrance.
Noting that the downpour became effective in a short time, Yalçın said, "We were trapped in the water. I was with the children; they were very frightened. Fire brigade teams got us out. I will initiate legal proceedings."
