The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, stated that the disinflation process has positively affected inflation expectations across all sectors, emphasizing that the improvement in expectations supports the reduction of rigidities in inflation.
Şimşek, on his social media account, made an assessment regarding the Central Bank's November "Sectoral Inflation Expectations".
Pointing to a positive trend, Şimşek said, "The disinflation process is positively affecting inflation expectations across all sectors. Compared to May, when we saw the peak in inflation, the expectation for 12 months later has improved by 12 points for households, 8.2 points for the real sector, and 6 points for market participants. This improvement in expectations supports the reduction of rigidities in inflation."
