"OIL PRICES ARE FALLING LIKE A ROCK"

Trump stated that oil companies are purchasing crude oil at much lower prices, yet the prices at the pump are not falling at the same rate.
Trump said, "Oil companies are buying oil at much lower prices, but they are not lowering pump prices at the same rate. Oil prices are falling like a rock."
"THIS IS CLEAR PRICE GOUGING"
Trump, who claimed that fuel prices are kept high to the detriment of consumers, described the current situation as clear price gouging. Criticizing energy companies harshly, Trump argued that citizens are being victimized.
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE STEPS IN
Trump also announced that he has instructed the US Department of Justice on the matter. President Trump said, "Customers are being ripped off. I have instructed the Department of Justice to begin investigating this matter immediately."
"GAS PRICES MUST FALL FASTER"
Trump stated that gas prices should decline faster in line with the drop in oil costs and called on energy companies. Trump gave a clear message to the companies, saying, "Gas prices should come down much faster than what I am seeing."
