Ankara condoled with Moscow on Thursday as a small plane crashed in eastern Russia, killing all six onboard.
"We received the news with deep sorrow that the crew of six people onboard have lost their lives in a plane crash in the Khabarovsk region of the Russian Federation," said a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
"We share the sorrow of the friendly people of the Russian Federation and extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the Government of the Russian Federation," it added.
An Antonov An-26 plane disappeared on Wednesday from flight radars 38 kilometers (24 miles) from the Khabarovsk region while performing a technical flight, according to Russian news agency TASS.
A representative from emergency services said the "remains of the deceased were found at the crash site. There are no survivors." -
