Mervan stated that a delegation from Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has arrived, indicating that the electricity sector in the country will be addressed. Mervan said, "A delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Energy has come to Damascus to discuss the maintenance and operation mechanisms of the electricity sector in Syria."

On the other hand, Governor Mahir Mervan stated in a recent announcement that Turkey is a strategic ally for Syria in social, cultural, economic, and military aspects. He expressed that the Syrian and Turkish peoples are brothers and that they will never forget the support the Turkish people have given to Syria.
"WE WILL SOLVE THE FUEL ISSUE SOON"
Emphasizing the importance of promoting local investments and providing basic services to the public through modern methods, the Governor of Damascus stated, "We must provide facilities to attract local and foreign investors, traders, and industrialists here. We should offer employment opportunities to young people in Damascus and other provinces. We will solve the fuel issue soon. We want to provide services worldwide by integrating technology into our institutions."
"WE WANT INVESTORS TO COME TO SYRIA"
Mervan noted that they are working in many areas such as improving the electricity infrastructure, cleaning the streets, and urban planning. He pointed out that cooperation between the Ministries of Economy, Trade, and Industry is also important in implementing infrastructure and investment projects, stating, "Our local industry has left the country due to the pressures of the old regime. We want investors to come to Damascus and Syria." The Governor of Damascus emphasized that they place great importance on the youth in the country, stating, "The young people, who are the architects of the future, will take Syria to a higher level."
