The Turkish Parliament Speaker's Office has received 9 files on parliamentary immunity from the Prime Ministry, including one on pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) deputy Faysal Sariyildiz on charges of "supplying arms to the terrorist organization".
The files, signed by the Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan, concern CHP (Republican People's Party) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, CHP deputy chairman Haluk Koc, CHP general secretary and Istanbul deputy Gursel Tekin, CHP Istanbul deputy Aykut Erdogdu, CHP Mersin deputy Aytug Atici, the Justice and Development (AK) Party Osmaniye deputy Suat Onal, and HDP deputy chairperson Pervin Buldan.
As the parliament is on holiday, the files will be sent to the parliamentary justice committee only after the general assembly reconvenes on October 1. - Ankara
