Turkey's Benchmark Stock İndex Flat At Open

Turkey's benchmark stock index went up 0.07 percent or 69.48 points to open at 104,664.12 points Tuesday.



On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index climbed 1.25 percent to close the day at 104,594.66 points with a daily trading volume of 7.55 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion).



The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.4690 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to Monday's closing rate of 5.4620.



The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 6.2100, up from 6.2010 at the previous close.



One British pound traded for 7.2750 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY exchange rate was 7.2470 by market close on Monday.



The price of Brent oil was $67.69 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time Tuesday. -
