Turkey's Borsa Istanbul Down At Weekly Open

Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,388.20 points on Monday, falling 0.21% or 2.86 points from the previous close.

At Friday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.50% at 1,422.06 points, with a daily trading volume of 15.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.7400 ​​​​​​​ as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, unchanged from the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood unchanged at 10.3800, while one British pound traded for 12.0700 Turkish liras, down from 12.1000 at the last week's close.
