Turkey's established team Gençlerbirliği has been subjected to a seizure! Even the championship trophy has been confiscated.

In the 2017-2018 season, Gençlerbirliği, which had been in the Süper Lig for 29 uninterrupted years, was relegated and shaken by a seizure blow. Alagöz Holding, which took action to collect its receivables of 69 million lira from the capital team, obtained a precautionary seizure decision from the Civil Court of First Instance.

SEIZURE OF ASSETS

Since the 2018-2019 season, Gençlerbirliği, which has been competing in the TFF 1st League, recently initiated legal proceedings due to its inability to repay the 69 million lira financial support received from Alagöz Holding on time. Alagöz Holding, which took action to collect its receivables of 69 million lira, obtained a precautionary seizure decision from the Civil Court of First Instance. In line with this decision, an application was made to the Ankara West Enforcement Office to initiate seizure proceedings.

MANY ITEMS INCLUDING THE TROPHY WERE SEIZED

The holding's lawyer, Osman Gökmen, went to the club's İlhan Cavcav Facilities in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara today to carry out the process with enforcement officers as part of the decision. Many trophies and electronic devices, including the club's championship trophy, were seized. Items such as televisions, computers, and printers were also among the seized goods. The Ankara team will be able to retrieve its seized assets if it pays off its debt within the given time frame.
