Turkey's New Year Lottery Jackpot At $12.9M

Turkey's grand New Year lottery prize will be 70 million Turkish liras ($12.9 million) and tickets will go on sale as of Nov. 29, an official said on Thursday.



A National Lottery General Directorate official told Anadolu Agency the total prize will amount 390.9 million Turkish liras ($72 million).



The second-highest prize will be seven million Turkish liras ($1.3 million).



Lottery tickets will be sold for 70 ($12.9), 35 ($6.4) and 17.5 Turkish liras ($3.2).



The draw will be held on Dec. 31.



Last year's big prize was 61 million Turkish liras . -
