Turkey Sees More Than 6,000 New Companies Launched

The number of new businesses opened in Turkey was nearly 10 percent higher in March that in the previous month, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) said Friday.

However, the launch of 6,075 new companies was a 13.6 percent year-on-year drop, TOBB said.

Foreign investors or partners were involved in 439 of the new firms, 181 of which involved Syrian nationals.

Last month saw 667 companies go out of business, 5.79 percent less than in March last year. -
