Turkish Stock Exchange Flat At Close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index was flat at an all-time high of 3,020.20 points at Friday's close.

After starting the day at 3,027.86 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose slightly by 0.01%, or 0.19 points from Thursday's close of 3,020.01 points.

On a weekly basis, the BIST 100 index rose 5.44% this week.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.4 trillion Turkish liras ($132.5 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 63.8 billion liras ($3.5 billion).

Gold prices eased to a three-week low of $1,760 an ounce on Friday amid worries about the US Federal Reserve's aggressive monetary tightening.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $97.50 per barrel as of 6.40 p.m. local time (1640GMT), up 0.94% on a daily basis.
