Turkey's benchmark stock index fell 1.24% to close at 1,375.91 points on Monday.
After starting the week at 1,392.25 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 17.33 points from last week's close of 1,393.24 points.
During the day, the index hovered between 1,374.67 and 1,398.12 points – 20 stocks on the index rose, 77 fell, and three were flat compared to Friday's close.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 983 billion Turkish liras ($120.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 16 billion Turkish liras (nearly $2 billion).
The highest trading volumes were posted by iron and steel manufacturer Eregli Demir Celik, private lender Garanti BBVA, and state lender Halkbank.
Conglomerate Bera Holding was the best performer, with its shares up 9.94%, while the stocks of wheels manufacturer Jantsa dropped the most, with 9.99%.
One ounce of gold sold for $1,742.55 by market close, up from $1,730.50 at Friday's close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $63.40 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).
