Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,399.65 points on Monday, up 0.48% from the previous close.
After starting the day at 1,397.98 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 6.74 points from Friday's close of 1,392.91 points.
The index's lowest value during the day was 1,394.66 points, while its daily high was 1,405.63 points.
The total market value of BIST 100 was over 1.05 trillion Turkish liras ($125.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of more than 12.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).
Some 75 stocks on the index rose, 20 fell, and five remained flat compared to Friday's close.
The highest trading volumes were posted by private lender Garanti BBVA, automotive manufacturer Karsan, and defense electronics firm Aselsan.
Leasing company Is Finansal Kiralama (ISFIN) was the best performer of the day with its shares up 9.69%. Stocks of Karsan (KARSN) saw the sharpest drop with 9.85%.
One ounce of gold was traded for $1,808.80 by market close, down from $1,827.70 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $72.83 per barrel as of 6.09 p.m. local time (1509GMT).
