Türkiye's BIST 100 Closes Thursday Looking Up

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 9,347.17 points, rising 0.38% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 35.06 points from Wednesday's close of 9,312.12.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 8 trillion liras ($258 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 144 billion liras ($4.64 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,033.20 while Brent crude oil sold for around $83.05 per barrel as of 6.43 p.m. local time (1543GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 30.9873, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 33.5104, and the British pound traded at 39.1214 liras. -
