Türkiye's BIST 100 Hits Record Closing High On Tuesday

Türkiye's benchmark stock index notched a record closing high on Tuesday at 10,336.50 points, increasing 0.68% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 69.41 points from Monday's close of 10,267.09 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 8.8 trillion liras ($274.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 127 billion liras ($3.94 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,324.30, while Brent crude oil sold for around $83.03 per barrel as of 18.48 local time (0548GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2576, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.7931, and the British pound traded at 40.4826 liras. -
