Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul Up 1.60% At Friday Close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 2,443.77 points, up 1.60% from Thursday's close.

Starting the day at 2,408.64 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 38.4 points from the previous close of 2,405.36 points.

The index's lowest value during the day was 2,399.54, while its daily high was 2,452.82.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2 trillion Turkish liras ($116.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 13.9 billion Turkish liras ($828 million).

During the day, 74 stocks on the index rose, 19 fell, and seven were unchanged compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,800.55, while Brent crude oil sold at around $110.7 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).
