Türkiye's benchmark stock index has crossed 3,000 points for the first time in its history, ending Thursday at 3,020.01 points.
After starting the day at 2.979,41 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 40.01 points, or 1.34%, from Wednesday's record-high close of 2,980.00.
During the day, the index's lowest value was 2,924.83, while its daily high was 3,033.81.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.3 trillion Turkish liras ($127.1 billion), with a daily trading volume of 42.2 billion liras ($3.2 billion).
One ounce of gold traded at $1,780.00 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $95.9 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT), up 2.42% on a daily basis.
