Twenty-five people who were having a picnic by the Batman River became stranded on small islands formed as a result of rising water levels. Unable to get out on their own, the citizens were rescued with the help of an excavator.

Those who went to have a picnic by the Batman River near the Samanyolu village of Batman were stranded on islets formed at 3 different points as a result of the rising water level.

THE EXCAVATOR CAME TO THEIR RESCUE

Citizens who could not get out of the water on their own reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, the Batman Fire Department Underwater Search and Rescue Team, AFAD, and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene. Those stranded on the islets were rescued with the help of an excavator and taken to a safe area.
