Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the armed attack on a bank branch in Diyarbakır Sur. In the operation carried out regarding the incident, the suspects were captured the same day and referred to the courthouse.
Two suspects were arrested in connection with the armed attack on the Yapı Kredi Bank branch in the Sur district of Diyarbakır.
In a statement shared on the social media account of the Provincial Police Department, it was stated: 'Regarding the shooting incident targeting a bank branch in the Sur district on June 8, 2026, at approximately 02:20, as a result of detections and investigations conducted through the City Security Management System (KGYS) and surrounding business cameras, in the operation initiated, Ö.M., who used the weapon in the shooting, and M.K., who was found to have participated in the incident, were apprehended and taken into custody on the same day by the Public Order Branch Directorate Robbery Bureau.'
TWO INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, both suspects were referred to the courthouse on June 10, 2026, and were arrested by the court and sent to prison.'
