In the Keşan district of EDİRNE, two cars collided at an intersection. 9 people were seriously injured in the accident.
CARS PLUNGED INTO DRAINAGE CANAL,
The accident occurred around 20:00 at the Kozköy Junction on the Keşan-Uzunköprü highway. A car with license plate 57 AAE 496, driven by M.P., traveling from Uzunköprü towards Keşan, collided at the junction with a car with license plate 22 PB 011, driven by A.Y., who was coming from the opposite direction and attempting to turn towards Kozköy. Due to the impact, the cars entered a drainage canal on the roadside and skidded approximately 50 meters.
CONDITION OF 9 INJURED IS SERIOUS
Upon notification, police, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the accident scene. The drivers injured in the accident, M.P. and A.Y., along with G.Y., G.Y., F.A., Z.P., A.K.P., E.P., and D.P. from the cars, were taken by ambulances to hospitals in Keşan and Uzunköprü. It was reported that the injured, who were admitted for treatment, remain in life-threatening condition.
Among the injured, A.K.P. and D.P. were referred to Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Hospital for further examination and treatment. On the other hand, it was learned that A.Y. and those with him were going from Keşan to a wedding in Kozköy. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
