Two mortar shells fell in the minefield area in Kilis. A fire broke out in the region, while sounds of conflict were heard from the Syrian side. The Ministry of National Defense stated that the Turkish Armed Forces had no involvement in the clashes in the area, saying, "A rocket, ricocheted from a conflict on the Syrian side of the border, fell into the mined area and caused a fire. Our units have no involvement. It is not true that a response was given." The Kilis Governor's Office also released a statement regarding the matter.
