THE FIRST RESIGNATION IS FROM ELAZIĞ
AK Party Elazığ Provincial Chairman Şerafettin Yıldırım announced on his social media account that he has resigned from his position. Yıldırım, who came to the agenda with images of his son using drugs, stated, "With the approval of our President and General Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, I have resigned from the position of AK Party Elazığ Provincial Chairman, which I have been holding for 6 years, and I have handed over my trust today." Yıldırım also announced that he will hold a press conference in the coming days.
MUĞLA PROVINCIAL CHAIRMAN ALSO RESIGNED
Shortly after Yıldırım's announcement, AK Party Muğla Provincial Chairman Haluk Laçin also reported that he has resigned from his position. In his lengthy statement, Laçin indicated that he left the position at his own discretion and with the knowledge of the Headquarters, stating, "This is a relay race. I am fully confident that our friends who will come after us will continue to work with the same determination and resolve."
Laçin emphasized that he worked shoulder to shoulder with the organizations throughout his term and that he will always remain a soldier of the party.
