An unnamed senior White House official stated, "The President has agreed to greet the Syrian President in Saudi Arabia tomorrow." However, no further details were provided regarding how the meeting would take place.
HE HAD SIGNALLED THE LIFTING OF SANCTIONS
In his latest statement on the matter, Trump said, "We are also working on some issues regarding Syria with President (Recep Tayyip) Erdoğan, and in the meantime, we will need to make a decision regarding sanctions. We can lift the sanctions from Syria because we want to give them a chance for a new beginning."
