Uk-Turkey Business Forum Set For Next Month

The fifth U.K.-Turkey business forum to develop business opportunities between the two countries will be held in Istanbul on September 19.



The event, announced on Friday, is organized by the Turkish British Chamber of Commerce Board. Speakers will include Turkey's EU Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu; British Ambassador Richard Moore; and Sefa Sadik Aytekin, deputy undersecretary at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.



According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, trade between the two nations stood at $15 billion in 2013. Turkish exports to Britain amounted to $8.7 billion while Turkey imported $6.2 billion worth of goods and services.
